Aero Precision is searching for a Product Technical Support Representative to join our team. The Product Technical Support Representative is responsible for acting as a liaison between customers and Aero Precision. They also assist with complaints, returns, product inspection, orders, errors, account questions, billing, cancellations, and other inquiries.

Job Description

  • Resolve customer complaints via phone, email, or mail.
  • Answer technical questions about Aero Precision products and policies.
  • Handle and process customer returns in an organized fashion.
  • Use telephones to reach out to customers and verify account information.
  • Greet customers warmly and ascertain problem or reason for calling.
  • Cancel or upgrade accounts.
  • Assist with placement of orders, refunds, or exchanges.
  • Help customers by troubleshooting product issues and disputes.
  • Take payment information and other pertinent information such as addresses and phone numbers.

Controller

Reports to: VP of Finance

Job Description

The controller position is accountable for the accounting operations of the company, to include the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles or international financial reporting standards.

Job Summary

  • Set departmental priorities and division of responsibilities between team members.
  • Develop and motivate accounting/finance team members.
  • Operation of the payables, receivables, payroll and period end close processes and creation/maintenance of related policies.
  • Creation/maintenance of controls designed to mitigate financial/legal/compliance risks.
  • Creation of updates to quarterly forecasts and annual budgets and analysis of variances against plan at regular intervals.
  • Timely issuance of a full set of monthly financial statements, without footnotes, and board presentation materials.
  • Preparation for and completion of attest engagement(s) by independent accounting firm.
  • Coordination with bank(s) in day to day matters and timely submission of any required reporting.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Buyer

Reports to: Purchasing Manager

Job Summary

The procurement specialist is responsible for purchasing materials in accordance to support company inventory goals and product demands. Develops supplier relationships to ensure the stability of the supply chain. Analyze current sales trends to build a strong understanding of future sales trends. Responsible for procuring the appropriate amount of materials to support company operations and goals at the lowest price.

Scheduling

  • Develop and execute product delivery schedules for purchased goods and manufactured items that require outside services.
  • Communicate with vendors to ensure products are delivered on schedule.
  • Overall responsibility of developing, maintaining and executing the schedule for purchased goods in accordance with company inventory goals.
  • Communicating delivery schedules to vendors and working with vendors to ensure that products are delivered on schedule.
  • Review daily and weekly consumption and sales data and revises future forecasted sales and consumption reports.
  • Communication weekly on Status/ progress of incoming products to evaluate future delays and potential interruptions in the supply chain.

Purchasing

  • Writes purchase orders and schedules incoming inventory

Shipping Manager

Reports to: Fulfillment Manager

Job Summary

Responsible for managing processing related to material handling, including shipping functions, transportation scheduling, material storage; as well as packaging and miscellaneous assembly.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for real-time analysis, overseeing the coordination and balance of shipping operations (allocation of man power).
  • Provide training of current and new employees in all appropriate procedures and processes required to complete work assignments.
  • Research and solve for logistical issues using SAP, XCarrier, and Magento.
  • Oversee the proper storage of finished items for picking.
  • Coordinate with other departments to resolve shipping issues.

Job Description

  • Verifies and keeps records on outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment: Compares identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
  • Support the shipment of goods produced.
  • Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
  • Responsible to make arrangements for pick-up by the carrier.
  • Affixes shipping labels on packed cartons.
  • Assembles cardboard containers or selects preassembled containers.
  • Inserts items into containers, using spacers, fillers, and protective padding.
  • Posts weights and shipping charges, and affixes postage.
  • Examines outgoing shipments to ensure shipments meet specifications.
  • Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.
  • Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand at all times.
  • Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

Minimum Requirements

Abilities Required

  • Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by the major freight carriers.

Lead Machine Operator

Reports to: VP of Operations
Shift: Friday-Sunday, Days or Nights (3 x 12’s)

Job Summary

  • Monitor and Report machine tool utilization rates.
  • Direct, manage and train manufacturing personnel in the proper usage of equipment and tools.
  • Develop, maintain and enforce internal operating procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
  • Monitor stock and tooling levels to meet production demands.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing human resource objectives by participating in selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures
  • Meets manufacturing operational standards by implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
  • Meets manufacturing financial standards by contributing and following annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Accomplishes manufacturing and organizational missions by completing related results as needed.
  • Responsible for in-process inspection, troubleshooting and solving processing problems in order to meet the company’s quality requirements.
  • Coordinates daily production schedules to ensure optimum product flow and maximize equipment, materials and manpower utilization.
  • Reviews daily production reports and makes changes needed to meet daily, weekly and monthly goals.
  • Examines daily/weekly/monthly expenses (salary, supplies, and benefits) and contributes to production of monthly cost forecasts.
  • Works with support groups (Quality Control, Engineering, Purchasing, Cost Accounting) in Process, Quality, and Cost improvement projects.
  • Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Issue reports on production daily

Minimum Requirements

  • 1-2+ years previous leadership or supervisory experience in related CNC manufacturing environment.
  • 5 years working as a Machinist in related CNC manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to effectively administer and oversee the production process.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose basic CNC machine tool alarms.
  • Superior team leadership, mechanical aptitude and communication skills, (written and verbal).
  • Associates degree in a technical or business-related field preferred.

Abilities Required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal support.
  • Ability to motivate shift workers.
  • Creative problem solving and strong decision-making skills.
  • Strong people management skills.
  • Ability to perform all manual operations and demonstrate a high skill level on all types of CNC equipment; knows appropriate tooling to be used for operation

  • Understanding of G-Code and Mastercam (or similar) – enough to write programs and program the machine control
  • Ability to troubleshoot most problems with milling and turning machines
  • Ability to read micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment
  • Ability to read and fully understand/interpret blueprints/written specs

CNC Programmer

Reports to: VP of Operations

Aero Precision is searching for a CNC Programmer to join our team. This position is a key component to the success of our manufacturing department.

Job Description

  • Creation and modification of CNC programs that facilitate the machining of production parts to engineering design.
  • Read, interpret, and work from engineering prints, drawings, sketches and models
  • Analyze part designs to plan logical machining strategy.
  • Verification of CNC programs using the appropriate software prior to production release.
  • Performs all programming assignments using own initiative.
  • Ensure a safe working environment is set and maintained.
  • Any other duties as required to support business needs.

Work Environment

CNC Mill Setup Machinist

Reports to: VP of Operations/Shop Foreman

Aero Precision is searching for a CNC Mill Setup Machinist to join our team. This position is a key component to the success of our manufacturing department.

Job Summary

  • Responsible for supporting operators in the training of loading parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.
  • Studies and interprets drawings, manuals, specifications or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and set up requirements.
  • Measures and marks dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as a guide for subsequent machining.
  • Detects equipment malfunctions or out of tolerance machining and adjusts machine, within capabilities, controls or control media as required to insure quality of productions. Reports all machine malfunctions to Supervisor.
  • Communicates with management, production control, quality and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.
  • Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
  • Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental Regulations.
  • May perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years experience preferred in set-up of 4-axis CNC horizontal milling, and 3-axis CNC vertical milling machines.
  • Knowledge in use of precision measuring instruments and the application of such instruments. Instruments should include but not limited to calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gages, indicators and scales.
  • Strong understanding in blue print reading / geometric tolerancing interpretation.
  • Intermediate knowledge of tool holders, cutting tools, boring bars, fixtures, inserts and other accessories used on various machines.
  • Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
  • Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules.
  • Must possess basic math skills to include, but not limited to, adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
  • CNC programming a plus
  • Past experience with either or both Mazak and Okuma equipment, as well as experience with Mazatrol and/or EIA a plus.
