Please Note: All Aero Precision Handguards use the BAR interface. If you intend to connect an Aero Precision Handguard to a standard threaded upper receiver, you will need a Bar Barrel Nut. If you have our M4E1 Enhanced Upper Receiver, you do not need a BAR Barrel Nut as the barrel nut and rail mounting platform are forged directly on to the upper receiver itself. *Recommended torque settings between 30 - 45 ft lbs. Torque over 45 ft lbs may result in damage to the barrel nut.

Don’t bother...get a different handguard system and barrel nut Review by BRADLEY
Purchases a quantum handguard. It did not contain the appropriate shims and only has 4 positions to run the gas tube through. Had to purchase a replacement nut due the holes enlarging while trying correctly align the gas tube without over torqueing. (Posted on 4/15/2018)
SHIMS!! Review by Matt T.
Great product but you absolutely need the shims!! I didn’t use shims and instead I over-torqued my barrel nut trying to get the gas tube hole aligned and ruined it. Use the torque specs they give you and don’t try to muscle it.... (Posted on 12/30/2017)
Need more spacers Review by Bobby
With the gas tube holes being 90 degrees apart, it’s highly likely you will need more spacers then included in this package. They are cheap, but get some headed your way before you start your build. (Posted on 12/5/2017)
Needs More holes for the gas tube Review by Christopher
I had the issue with the hole not aligning when tightened. Be careful and don't over'll break the armorers wrench like I did. Get more shims and do it right.
The gas holes should be spaced a bit closer than 90* to make alignment easier.
