A beautiful rail at a great price Review by Roger
This is my first 308 build I'll be honest with you I was hesitant to buy this type of rail and the upper that I got with it because I wasn't sure if a proprietary upper in rail system was the best bet for compatibility. I noticed right away I was wrong the built in rail attachment on the upper is possibly the most ingenious thing I have seen to date this solves all issues with alignment compatibility and stability. The rail itself is machined beautifully and reminds me of an M1 Abrams in the fde color it has a beautiful feel to it is smooth to the touch and does not grate your hands like most rails do. The picatinny rail on the top mates up perfectly with the rail on the upper for a flawless seamless finish this is possibly the most gorgeous-looking 308 upper I have ever seen. I would choose this over most name brands, I would choose it over lwrc, I would choose it over any of them this rail in combination with the upper and the radian Raptor charging handle and Areo precision bolt carrier group is possibly the best combination I could think of for this type of build. I also ordered their Barrel in 12 and 1/2 half inch which is topped off with Aero Precision gas block and gas tube. I don't think I would be happier with any other setup I'm finishing this build off with a ubr and an 80% lower from 80percentarms with their new jig design I should get a Flawless build. I chose to do it this way because I just wanted a 12 and a half inch barrel I wanted a 308 that was accurate small enough to be considered a Close Quarters combat weapon but most of all I wanted a Sleek beautiful Jackhammer and that's what I got. If you're going to build a 308 on a budget but you want the quality that competes and makes the others pale in comparison look no further than Aero precision they have gorgeous parts, their work is unmatched I love The Branding on all of their pieces that just shows Pride and it's not like those other brand names off in the corner down in the bottom under the forward assist or hidden under the picatinny rail no it's right out there for you to see and it looks bad ass thank you again Aero precision. I've never been happier. (Posted on 3/10/2018)
Had some troubles Review by Calvin
The product is beautiful and light, but I ran into some issues during installation. Now I am not a pro gunsmith, but first if you do not have an armorers wrench, you have to buy a wrench from a different site to install this. The customer service from here gave me a link to Brownells for the wrench I could use. Second, after the handguard was installed, the DPMS high tang did not align with the top rail of my DPMS upper. It actually sits higher than the rails on my DPMS upper. So, now that my Build is "finished" I will either need to mill the handguard to align correctly with the upper, or (if I wish to keep the handguard) try to find a new upper to match up with the DPMS high tang aero rail (even though as stated I have a DPMS upper for the build). But, the customer service was very useful at answering the questions I had. (Posted on 2/12/2018)
