Federal law requires that you be 21 years or age or older to purchase a stripped receiver or frame. If a frame or receiver can only be made into a long gun (rifle or shotgun), it is still a frame or receiver not a handgun or long gun. However, they still are "firearms" by definition, and subject to the same GCA limitations as any other firearms. See Section 921(a)(3)(b). 18 U.S.C. Section 922(b)(1) makes it unlawful for a licensee to sell any firearm other than a shotgun or rifle to any person under the age of 21.

good rifle at an unbeatable price point Review by Pink Helicopter

I bought this during the "no form 1 for Washington" period. Looking for an SBR on a form 4 showed a lot of guns that companies were super proud of. I was rather surprised to find an 8" 300 blackout for 1/2 the price of the next 300 blackout SBR I could find. After a bit of a wait...I now have the rifle. One of the tests of function of a 300 blackout, especially SBR's is the ability to cycle sub sonic ammo unsuppressed. I was really expecting a failure here. I was really surprised when my gun cycled subs with no issue.

Added excitement occurred when I went to remove the buttstock and muzzle device. There are torque specs for these parts with most manufacturers well exceeding them, which you don't find out until you try to take it apart and everything seems welded together. This gun was not like that. I went to take off the castle nut and after about the perfect level of pressure it came off. I have gotten used to using a pry bar to remove a flash hider. I was able to easily do it with my large wrench. In a gun setup to be improved by the user this was simply fantastic.

Mine is an enhanced upper. The Aero Precision Quantum 7" handguard bolted right on with no issues. While this does limit the amount of handguards you can use, there is enough variety that you will be able to set your rifle up in the way you want. (Posted on 4/4/2017)
